WebsiteMelbourne based screenwriter/director, Robin Summons is fascinated by the potential of cinema to generate empathy. In the research phase of writing THE WAYWARD WIND, in early 2025, Robin travelled and lived in a Mack Superliner from Perth to Melbourne alongside truckie Heather Jones, an experience that transformed and deepened his understanding of the life of female truckies.
Robin’s recent short, VICTIM (2022) starring Kat Stewart, had its world premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival before winning the ‘Best Short Film’ award at the Brisbane International Film Festival, Sparrowland Film Festival and Peninsula Film Festival.
His previous short OCCUPATION (2020) was featured extensively online on publications such as Filmink and Director’s Notes and SKEWWHIFF (2018) was nominated for the Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival Grand Prix award. SKEWIFF also won ‘Best Film’ at the Northern Lights Film Festival and toured internationally amongst Australia’s best short films with the Australian International Screen Forum.
Additionally in 2022, Robin was selected for the MIFF Accelerator Lab, amongst Australia’s top screen directors making the transition from short to feature-length directing. In 2023, Robin was nominated for ‘Best Direction In A Short Film’ at the Australian Directors’ Guild Awards. In 2024 Robin was next selected for the Sydney Film Festival’s Platform Incubator Lab where he developed a surreal melodrama exploring the lives of 19th-century anti-vaxers titled THE CURE.
Michele Turnure-Salleo

WebsiteMichele Turnure-Salleo is the Principal at Feracious Entertainment (Feracious). Recent Producer credits include BOSS CAT (Sydney Film Festival 2026). Recent Executive Producer/Co-Executive Producer credits include; SWEET MILK LAKE (Melbourne International FF 2026/Winner CineFestOZ 2026), BLUEBACK (Sundance 2023/TIFF 2022), FAREWELL AMOR (Sundance 2020), BEFORE YOU KNOW IT (Sundance 2019), THE SOUND OF SILENCE (Sundance 2019) BUOYANCY (Berlinale 2019).
Alongside her work at Feracious, Turnure-Salleo works internationally as a script editor on projects supported with development funding from screen agencies such as Screen Australia, Vic Screen, Screen Tasmania and Screen Scotland. She has been a mentor at labs such as Stowe Story Lab, Biennale College Cinema, Vic Screen’s Originate Lab and Attagirl Global Lab.
Previously, Michele was Development Producer at Storyd Group supporting Australian female filmmakers. From 2008-2016 she designed and ran the Filmmaker 360 program at SFFS - San Francisco Film Society (now SFFilm) where she provided more than $5 million in funding to develop and support exceptional filmmakers including Chloe Zhao - SONGS MY BROTHERS TAUGHT ME (Sundance/Cannes 2015), Destin Daniel Cretton - SHORT TERM 12 (SXSW 2013), Ryan Coogler - FRUITVALE STATION (Sundance/Cannes 2013), Benh Zeitlin - BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD (Sundance/Cannes 2012) and Maryam Keshavarz- CIRCUMSTANCE (Sundance 2011).
Selin Yaman

WebsiteSelin Yaman is an award-winning screen producer. In 2024, she launched Sibel Pictures and with a slate of feature films, including the adaptation of Aidan Fennessy’s stage musical WHAT RHYMES WITH CARS AND GIRLS (writer Andy Cox, based on Tim Rogers’ album), THE WAYWARD WIND with Michele Turnure-Salleo of Feracious Entertainment (writer/director Robin Summons) and comedy/drama BIG TIME (writer Veronica Gleeson).
Her credits include SBS’s JOHN SAFRAN’S MUSIC JAMBOREE and JOHN SAFRAN VS GOD, both AACTA (formerly AFI) winners with Writers Guild Awards and LOGIE nominations. For ABC, she produced THE BAZURA PROJECT. As Head of Production at Renegade Films, she oversaw Rockwiz, Wilfred and multiple factual series’. She has produced shorts and art projects for Amiel Courtin-Wilson, Sian Davies and Amos Gebhardt.
Selin has worked for decades as a freelance producer, managing business affairs and production across documentary, factual, entertainment, and high-end TV commercials. She is an alumni of the Rotterdam Producers Lab, and a recipient of a Women in LeadershipDevelopment Grant from the Natalie Miller Fellowship and VicScreen.
